Pinterest is an obsession of mine, it has been a life changer. I am working my way through the food and DIY pins and thought I would share some of my experiences with you!
After only dating Cliff for two weeks, he invited me to his big summer party. Feeling the need to impress, I searched for the perfect fudgey cake and this recipe did not disappoint. It is a flourless cake that uses coconut oil and maple syrup as the base so it is gluten free too!
I ended up lining the outer edge of the cake with chocolate chip filled raspberries and drizzled a little bit of caramel sauce over the top. It was so smooth! It’s on the rich side so you don’t need huge slices. It got rave reviews, definitely a 5 star cake.
This is a skinny recipe for a DIY Starbucks Passion Fruit Iced Tea Lemonade. It isn’t a difficult or expensive recipe- just mixed your passion fruit tea with the light lemonade and sweeten to taste. I didn’t care for the artificial taste of the lemonade at all. I plan to retry this one with a regular lemonade once it gets warmer out. You might like it! I personally give the flavor a one star.
My sister introduced these babies to me and they are so good! These vegetarian (and potentially vegan if you swap out some ingredients) burgers use spinach and bread crumbs as a foundation for the recipe; one batch yields about 5 patties, which means just 143 calories per burger if you are counting.
I like to eat these with light ranch dressing, skipping the bun altogether. We use this same recipe to make bite size spinach balls and serve them with ranch dressing as appetizers at parties. Five stars!
This seven layer cake features brownie, graham cracker, cheesecake, and chocolate chip cookie layers with both marshmallow and fudge frosting. This was a behemoth of a cake and took a total of 5 and a half hours to bake and assemble. It isn’t as overwhelmingly chocolately as you would expect, it was perfect.
For my gas oven I started at the recommended 450* for 15 minutes then turned it down to 325* for another 15 minutes. You could cut down on the layers and just do one of each instead of doubling them- it makes so much.
I get a ton of requests to make this for each event. Five stars!
