Day 2 public art challenge

Pissed Off Raccoon

I created this series of doodled raccoons with spray cans last summer (one of my long term projects that never got off the ground). I like their playful nature- they’re natures little tricksters. Street art and specifically Banksy’s film Exist Through the Gift Shop inspired these pieces; I wanted to make street art without damaging the locally owned stores so I designed the raccoon characters to create the mischief themselves.

Today’s piece was left on the water spout on the side of StaleFish Board Co. in downtown BelAir.
